Birds get up early and so do
we. Our bird watching trips involve waking up early and a
moderate amount of physical activity. We often have a very light
breakfast before going out birding. If the particular trip involves
a lot of walking, we'll we'll have an early breakfast before leaving.
All
of our trips require gentle walking; some
require slightly aggressive walking. The longest
trips require walking for up to six hours. We
are very serious about seeing birds and that takes
priority over everything else. Sometimes we climb
steep mountains on thin trails or walk on uneven
ground. Wet terrain is common as well. Creek crossings
are are certainly part of many trips. This is
not to say that you will be part of a "boot
camp", but you will be part of a very serious
birding trip.
Our lunches are sometimes
bagged. We normally have a local Thai restaurant
meal if available.
We normally rest a bit
during the heat of the day, then go birding again
in the afternoon.
You do not have
to be an experienced bird watcher
to join our trips. You do not have to be an experience
kayaker to join our birding trips that involve
paddling. Nature lovers who simply want to explore
the possibility of becoming a bird watcher, to
whatever degree, are of course very welcomed.

Feel
free to contact us ahead of time to work out which
of our itineraries suits your particular needs
and desires. We are very flexible with everything
we do.
Note:
Our Khao
Sok birding trip involves kayak and walking...
mostly kayaking. Kayaks are by far the most efficient
method to see birds, especially hornbills.
Our
Phuket birding
day trip involves walking only and it is extremely
easy. Some of it is in the shade, some is in the
sun, so dress accordingly.
